"I joined Lake Hills Fire Dept. at the age of 18 because I had always dreamed of becoming a firefighter. 9/11 happened 3 weeks after I had joined Lake Hills FD and it made me realize how important Firefighters are in our society. After 9/11, I started looking more into the medical field, sought after my Emergency Medical Technician Cert., and have worked as an EMT ever since. I joined Porter Fire Dept. in July of 2004, after i moved to the area and have been serving the community ever since."
