PFD Training: Live Fire Training

Live fire training is the closest a firefighter can get to the real thing. The firefighters learned and practiced different ways of putting out vehicle fires. Where to spray, approach to the vehicle, and exposures all were went over with detail. The firefighters broke into groups and took turns with each different type of vehicle. Entry into the vehicle was also fused in the lesson, along with some how-to's. The firefighters were given scenarios like how to put out the fire if it is on the underside of the vehicle. They also went over engine fires and fully involved multiple vehicle fires. Safety, of course, was the first lesson taught.
